This school is a key part of the Synergy Schools Federation and my role is to lead the federation. A federation is simply a group of schools that share a single governing body but our federation is much more than just this – our tag line describes it clearly:

You would be forgiven for wondering why this school has two headteachers! We both have very different roles, and I’ve tried to explain them below.

Mrs Stanley's role is to lead the school on a day-to-day basis, establishing strong relationships with parents and pupils and making sure that the school is managed effectively so that children enjoy their learning and make great progress.

My role is different. Aspects of leadership such as school finances, human resources, governance, line management of all headteachers, complaints (hopefully not too many!) and liaison with external partners like the Local Authority, Diocese, Teaching School Hub, are all within my remit. I try to take as much work away from our federation’s headteachers so that they concentrate on your children and running highly-effective schools.
