Fran Stanyer
Fran has one daughter, who attends Pickhill School.
Fran has been a teacher for 17 years, specialising in teaching children with severe and complex learning difficulties. Originally, Fran worked in a large special school in Hertfordshire but moved back to North Yorkshire in 2019 and is now working as the Lead SEN Practitioner at a local special school. Fran also leads a Local Authority project focussing on supporting children with autism to thrive in educational settings across the locality.
Fran is passionate about the inclusion of children with additional needs, and empowering staff to be able to meet those needs.
Fran is secretary for the school’s PTA, and spends her spare time trying to tire out a very energetic cocker spaniel!
